Roots Floral Design // San Francisco Styled Bridals

A few weeks ago, I got an email from my friend Kaytee, telling me she was coming to California and she wanted to do a stylized bridal shoot for her new floral design website. I immediately responded, telling her how excited I was about the idea, and listing off locations and ideas for gowns and models. We decided on a date, and once she arrived, I drove into the city and we met at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Our lovely model Christie, who had filled in for us almost last minute, was waiting for us with a smile on her face.

The hotel was beautiful beyond belief, and I couldn't believe the incredible architecture that graced the building. It was built in 1875 to celebrate the West Coast boom, and is one of the city's most treasured landmarks. It wasn't difficult to see why.

We shot at the Palace Hotel for a while, and then headed to the cliffs at Land's End, where we photographed into the night overlooking the calm blue ocean. Fog hung over the mountains in the distance, and the cool mist of the waves blew a chilly breeze around us. My friend and fellow photographer, Nataly Zigdon, joined us for some time while we shot, and it was so nice to be reunited with her after a few years apart. The last time I saw her was during a Flickr Photography Meetup in Los Angeles in 2013!

It was the perfect day, the perfect locations, the perfect model and gown, and not to mention, the most perfect florals by Kaytee! Check out the photos below, take a listen, and enjoy. (Vendors listed at the bottom of this post)
